Mr. Edward O'Leary holds the position of Director, Network Strategy for Rogers AT&T Wireless. In this role, Mr. O'Leary represents Rogers AT&T Wireless on key industry standard committees such as Frequency Coordination System Association (FCSA) as a member of the board since 1997. Also Mr. O'Leary provides direction and technical guidance on merging technologies, develops network and technology strategic plans and provides technical and technology leadership within Rogers AT&T Wireless.
Mr. O'Leary has 25 years of telecommunications experience in Research & Development, Product Development, System Engineering and Standards Development in CATV, Microwave and Transmission Technologies, Cellular, Paging, Data Radio, PCS and UMTS networks. Mr. O'Leary has co-authored four patents based on Remote Antenna Driver (RAD) used in Microcellular or Fixed Wireless Applications.
In the 12 years that Mr. O'Leary has been employed at Rogers AT&T Wireless, he has held increasingly senior roles within the Network Strategy group. Prior to joining Rogers AT&T Wireless, Mr. O'Leary held managerial engineering positions at AEG Bayle Inc.
Mr. O'Leary graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1982 and obtained his Professional Engineer designation
(P. Eng) in 1984.
